Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has strongly condemned the spread of fake news and baseless claims made by Indian media amid Pak-India escalation, state-run PTV reports.

While calling the Indian media mouthpieces for the Indian government, she said that “when the Modi government tells a lie, Indian media magnifies it a hundredfold”.

She said that the Indian media is spreading fake news of shooting down a Pakistani aircraft to hide the defeat of its government.

Refuting the claims of Indian media, she said: “India has conquered the whole of Pakistan, although the fact is that all the cities of Pakistan are completely safe and life is going on as usual.”

“By hiding the truth and spreading lies, Indian media has become a disgrace to journalism.”
