PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has warned that India shouldn’t “underestimate” Pakistan’s peace-loving nature as a sign of weakness.

Addressing a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, senior PPP leader Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti condemned the Indian aggression against Pakistan and praised Pakistan’s armed forces for their bravery and readiness to defend the country.

Hoti, who is also a former federal minister, said the Modi government had made a grave mistake by attacking Pakistan and he should not expect a “favourable” response.

He emphasised that Pakistan’s armed forces had already responded to the Indian aggression and would continue to defend the country against any further attacks.

Leader Hoti claims Israel behind Indian aggression

The PPP leader suggested that Pakistan’s armed forces target Indian dams, military installations and infrastructure to teach India a lesson.

He also criticised the government for not taking adequate action after the Jaffar Express hijacking incident and alleged Indian agents were involved in terrorist activities in Balochistan.

“Had Pakistan taken an effective action soon after that terrorist act, India would have never dared to take this aggressive step,” he said.

Mr Hoti accused India of being a terrorist state and claimed that Israel was behind India’s aggression against Pakistan.

He emphasised that Pakistan wouldn’t be intimidated by Indian aggression and would defend its sovereignty at all costs.

“We will not let India get away with its nefarious designs,” he said.

“The Pakistani armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country, and people will support them,” he said.

The PPP leader said national unity in the prevailing situation sent outa strong message to India that Pakistan won’t be intimidated by aggression.

He said it was a sign of satisfaction that the government and armed forces had reiterated their commitments to defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
