Lawmakers paid tribute to the armed forces in the National Assembly for giving a befitting response to India, saying that the nation was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the army.
They strongly condemned the Indian forces’ “cowardly attack” and affirmed that Pakistan was fully prepared to respond to any aggression with full force, the Associated Press of Pakistan reports.
They agreed that India’s unprovoked attack on Pakistan was not only a serious threat to regional peace and stability but also a blatant violation of international laws and human rights.
Among the MNAs who spoke on the floor of the assembly were PPP’s Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, PML-N’s Malik Muhammad Iqbal, JUI-F lawmaker Shahida Akhtar Ali and PTI’s Amir Dogar, among others.
