Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has condemned India’s military aggression, calling it a defiance of global laws and disregard for international norms.

“After the Pahalgam incident, India has demonstrated aggression without any evidence. India’s aggression reflects lawless behaviour,” he said in an interview with PBS.

Ambassador Sheikh reiterated Pakistan’s stance that it reserves the right to retaliate to the Indian aggression at a time and manner of its choosing. “We are a peace-loving nation, but we seek peace with dignity,” he added.

He said that India launched attacks without presenting any evidence. He added that Pakistan responded firmly, but only in self-defence, to protect its sovereignty and citizens.

The envoy urged the United States and President Trump to play a proactive role for lasting peace in South Asia. “As a global power, Pakistan expects the US and President Trump to play a role in resolving the Kashmir issue,” he added.
