A man has died while his father was injured after a drone crashed in Village Sarfraz Leghari of Sindh’s Ghotki district, police said.

“One drone has fallen in the area of Village Sarfraz Leghari,” Ghotki Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samiullah Soomro told Dawn.com.

He highlighted that the area falls within the jurisdiction of Khenju police station, which is near the Indian border.

SSP Soomro named the deceased as Mukhtiyar Ahmed and the injured as Edhan. He added that the Pakistan Army was investigating the incident.

The SSP said the father-son duo was present on their land near their village. He added that the site was a deserted area and there was “no particular target”.

Sukkur Deputy Inspector General Faisal Abdullah Chachar also confirmed the incident.
