Turkiye has condemned the Indian attack on Pakistan and called it a “provocative step as well as attacks targeting civilian and civilian infrastructure”.
The attack carried out by India last night (May 6) raises the risk of an all-out war, the statement added.
“We are following the developments between Pakistan and India with concern,” the statement said.
Turkiye called on the parties to exercise common sense and refrain from unilateral actions.
“We also support Pakistan’s call for an investigation into the 22 April terrorist attack,” the statement added.
The statement added that Ankara expected that measures will be taken to reduce tensions in the region as soon as possible and that the necessary mechanisms including in the field of counter-terrorism, will be put in place to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents.
