PPP Senator Sherry Rehman has termed Pakistan’s response to India’s strikes last night as “mature and responsible”.

Speaking to Geo News, the PPP leader said: “We gave a message that our restraint should not be seen as a weakness. Chairman Bilawal had categorically said in the National Assembly so that no one looks at just with an evil eye.”

“Pakistan had a mature and responsible response,” she said, adding that India has been posturing as a “backyard bully”.

Rehman said “unprovoked” strikes on innocent women and the elderly, and attacking mosques was a “war crime” and a violation of international law.

She said India “provoked” Pakistan and was posturing to launch a strike for the past few days, and hence there was a “defensive strike”. “They (India) had spread the war hysteria so much that they needed face-saving.”
