ISLAMABAD: Justice Ayesha A. Malik of the Supreme Court of Pakistan received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree (Honoris Causa) from the University of London on Monday, recognising her contributions to the legal profession and her efforts in the advancement of justice and equality.

The Supreme Court announced that Princess Anne, Princess Royal presented Justice Malik with the honorary degree at a ceremony in London.

The award celebrated her career, including her appointment as the first female judge of the Supreme Court.

The university highlighted her achievements as a sign of increasing global acknowledgement of judicial excellence and gender inclusion in Pakistan.
