NAROWAL: Sialkot police claimed on Tuesday to have recovered a two-year-old child and arrested the woman kidnapper at Agoki.

Report said child Muhammad Ayaz was abducted while accompanying his mother Nadia Kausar, a resident of Gulzar Street, Agoki, to a doctor on April 23. In her complaint, Nadia said, “I was collecting medicines from the doctor when my son suddenly went missing.” She searched for him and made announcements in local mosques but was unable to locate him.

Agoki Station House Officer Inspector Noman Ahmed registered a first information report under Section 363 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against unknown kidnappers on Nadia’s request.

District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shahzad took immediate notice of the incident and formed special teams under the supervision of DSP Saddar to ensure the swift recovery of the child.

Speaking toDawn, DPO Shahzad said all available resources were utilised, including human intelligence and advanced technology. He said the teams conducted a comprehensive door-to-door search during a joint operation, which led to the recovery of the child from a house in the area.

The woman kidnapper, a resident of Pattoki temporarily living in Sialkot, was arrested during the operation. The police are now conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.

DPO Shahzad confirmed that the child was reunited with his parents. The DPO announced a cash prize and a commendation certificate for the police teams.
