SUKKUR: Four teenagers were gunned down in an attack linked to an old rivalry between the Khoso and Jatoi tribes in Qureshi village on Monday.

A group of armed men, said to be belonging to the Jatoi tribe, opened fire on three youths sitting in a shoe shop in the village, falling in the limits of the New Pind police station. The victims, Sumair, Ali Haider and Shiraz — aged 14-18 and belonging to the Khoso tribe — died on the spot. An employee of the shoe shop, Abdullah Chohan, was also killed and a woman passing by the shop was wounded in the attack.

It was noted that some time back, a Khoso man was killed during a violent house robbery and later a Jatoi man was killed in revenge.
