QUETTA: The Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Hub and Bostan will play a key role in the development and employment generation in Balochistan, Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade Bilal Khan Kakar said on Monday.

He termed the Hub Special Economic Zone “a project of national significance”, expected to boost industrialisation in the province and bring about significant socio-economic benefits.

The Hub SEZ aims to create 50,000 job opportunities and generate tax revenues of around Rs170 billion, he said.
