FAISALABAD, May 2: The ruling PML will hold local body conventions in all major cities of the country to reactivate party workers and set a ground for party candidates in the coming general elections. Sources close to the PML top brass said on Tuesday the first convention would be held in Faisalabad on Wednesday. They said Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi had been mentioned as host of the convention. Invitation cards had been sent on behalf of the chief minister and district nazim Zahid Tauseef.

They claimed the Faisalabad convention had been announced haphazardly just to give a tough time to opposition parties and stop their way of holding big public gatherings.

The PML-N had announced a series of workers convention at the district and city levels to reactivate party workers in connection with the general election arrangements.
