KARACHI, April 30: The City’s Naib Nazim, Nasreen Jalil, on Sunday called for elimination of feudalism for safety of labour rights. She said the World Labour Day on May 1 reminded one of the efforts of labours in Chicago and the historic struggle of the entire labour community to safeguard their rights across the globe, said a statement.

She also said active attention was being paid by the present government and the city government for establishment of industries in the city to provide more employment opportunities to labours.

Nasreen Jalil maintained that foreign companies had also shown interest in establishing industries in the metropolis.—APP
