RAWALPINDI: A court granted physical remand of a suspect to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for three days, after he was arrested for his alleged involvement in social media propaganda against the state over the recent terrorist attack on Jaffar Express.

The FIA’s cybercrime cell arrested the suspect, Haider Saeed, from Banigala, and presented him before the court of a civil judge, Mohammad Abbas Shah, on Monday.

According to the FIA, the suspect was not only running a campaign against state institutions, but also kept sharing inflammatory content in favour of terrorists during the Jaffar Express operation. An investigation was launched by seizing his social media accounts and digital evidence.

The FIA while producing the suspect before the court requested for an eight-day remand for further investigation, the court granted a three-day remand of the suspect.
