KOHAT, April 27: A security official was injured when some Afghans fired three rockets from across the boarder on a military checkpost in Kurram Agency early on Thursday.

Officials told Dawn that two of the rockets fired on the Laka Tiga-1 militia checkpost hit its boundary wall. Another rocket missed the target. Rahim Dad, a Kurram Militia soldier, was injured.

The official also said that Afghan and Pakistani border security forces exchanged heavy fire on Tuesday night when the former had tried to hoist flag in Spina Taga area of Kurram Agency. The firing continued for three hours during which a Pakistani soldier was injured. He claimed that scores of Afghan soldiers were either injured or killed when the Pakistani side retaliated.
