MIANWALI, April 27: The family of Faiz Muhammad, a tenant of Chak 2-ML was arrested and sent to central prison by police because his son had married a girl without the consent of her influential parents.

Ramzan’s parents sent the marriage proposal to the girl’s family which was rejected by them. Finding no other way, the girl eloped with the youth, and the couple went to Ramzan’s relatives in Haroonabad where they solmnised their Nikah.

Meanwhile, the girl’s brother, Javaid Iqbal, got registered an FIR with Piplan police on March 13, stating that Ramzan, along with his father Faiz, mother Bashiran Bibi (50), brother Attaullah (28), sister Sakina Bibi (18) and brother Meherban (16) had kidnapped his sister, who had taken away Rs20,000 cash and gold ornaments worth Rs80,000.
