QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stressed the importance of reforms in the healthcare sector and assured that his government was committed to strengthening the system.

In a meeting with the delegation of female doctors on Friday, he reiterated that providing the best medical facilities to public was the government’s top priority.

The delegation, led by Professor Dr Ayesha Siddiqa (recipient of the Presidential Medal of Excellence) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan’s Quetta regional office met the chief minister.

The meeting focused on improving the healthcare sector and promoting medical education in the province.

Dr Siddiqa highlighted the healthcare challenges in Balochistan and presented various suggestions for their resolution.

She emphasised the need to improve medical education and construct modern hospitals to ensure accessible and high-quality healthcare for the public.
