PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtukhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has written a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, pointing out that the electric and gas loadshedding schedule issued by the premier’s office for Ramazan was not being followed in the province.

Mr Kundi said that KP was producing electricity and gas in ample quantities, but the province was being denied its share of its resources, according to a statement issued here on Tuesday.

He said that the people of KP were suffering due to the prolonged power and gas loadshedding during Ramazan as the schedule issued by the PM Office was not being followed.

He said that power and gas outages during Iftar and Sehr were causing immense problems for the general public. He said that the holy month necessitated peaceful environment for the worshippers.

The governor asked the premier to take notice of the issue.
