Blind cricket

ISLAMABAD, April 24: The Islamabad Cricket Association of the Blind walloped Indian Punjab by 244 runs on Monday to win the three-match series 3-0.

Centuries by Muzaffar Ali (138) and Ashraf Bhatti (105) saw the home side post a mammoth total of 679 for nine in 40 overs. Officials claimed it was a world record in blind cricket.

In reply, the Indians managed to score 435 runs by losing six wickets. M. Singh scored 128, Garpreet Singh 84 and Rajinder Singh scored 64.

Muzaffar Ali was named Man-of-the-Match.
