LAHORE: The funeral of Supreme Court’s former judge Azmat Saeed Sheikh will be offered on Friday (today) at 3pm in H Block mosque of DHA Phase 1.

Justice Saeed passed away on Wednesday. He was suffering from kidney and liver disease.

Before his elevation to the Lahore High Court in 2004, Justice Saeed was appointed as special prosecutor by Ehtesab Bureau in 1997 and a deputy prosecutor general of the NAB in 2000.

He served as the chief justice of the LHC from 2011 to 2012 when he was appointed to the Supreme Court. He retired from the apex court in 2019.

He was also a part of the SC bench that heard the Panama Papers case against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
