LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has issued notices to the chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) and others on a petition challenging the commencement of Central Superior Services (CSS) examinations 2025 without the announcement of the previous year’s results.

Justice Shahid Karim directed a deputy attorney general to assist the court on the next hearing after seeking instructions from the respondents on the matter.

Hamza Arif and three others filed the petition through Advocate Nabeel Javed Kahloon.

The counsel argued before the court that the FPSC had not so far announced the results for 2024 CSS examinations despite a delay of five months.

He said the respondent commission went on to announce its schedule for the CSS examinations of 2025 without declaring the results of the previous examinations.

He asked the court to order the respondent to declare the pending results forthwith ensuring fairness and transparency in the competitive examination process.

The counsel also urged the court to suspend the proceedings for CSS 2025 until the announcement of the pending results.

Justice Karim would resume the next hearing on Feb 13.
