LONDON, April 22: India pace bowler Zaheer Khan is hoping a summer with English cricket county Worcestershire can help revive his international career.

The left-armer was overlooked for recent series against England as selectors put their faith in youth.

But Worcestershire stepped in with an offer when Australian Nathan Bracken withdrew from his deal with the club.

“I want to win matches here and regain my place back in international side,” Zaheer said. “I toured UK in 2002 with Indian cricket team and that series was good for me, so I am aware of conditions here.”

He has taken 121 wickets in 42 Test appearances and 155 in One-day Internationals, having made his debut for India in 2000. –Agencies
