LAHORE, Oct 16: The three-year-old filly, Lucky Credit Queen, who registered her maiden victory on Oct 3, can claim the feature event of the mid-week Lahore Gymkhana races at the Racecourse on Wednesday.

The Arif Wala Plate for Class VII Division IV & V combined race, will be run over the sprinting distance of five furlongs and will be the sixth and last event of the day.

This feature event has a big field of 16 runners, if there are no last-minute withdrawals.

Besides the bay filly Lucky Credit Queen, the chestnut colt Unbeatable, another chestnut Mon Soon and the bay gelding Burq Raftar, are the other good speedsters who are in the reckoning.

The way Lucky Credit Queen, the daughter of Lucky Concept out-of-Credit, came on forcefully to win in the lower division of the Class VII carrying nine stones four pounds. She should not face much difficulty at being lowly placed at 7-13 in making it two in-a-row.

The four-year-old bay gelding, Mr Bond who had been suspiciously been ridden in his two previous outings, should make amends this time and win the third race on the afternoon’s card.

Mr Bond is contesting in a big field of 16 runners. His closest rivals could be Sugar Daddy, Must Lady and Nijinsky.

A card of six events will be decided in the afternoon. All events will be contested over five furlongs, the first to start at 12.30 pm.
