TOBA TEK SINGH: A doctor kidnapped for Rs20 million ransom from Khurrianwala on Jan 26 has been recovered from 116-RB, Chak Jhumra.

Faisalabad acting CPO Rana Abdul Wahab told a press conference on Saturday the case of abduction of Dr Abdus Samad was registered on the complaint of his father, Javed Akhtar, who said the kidnappers had abducted him along with his car when he was on way home from his clinic and they demanded Rs20 million ransom for his release.

He said police traced the location of kidnappers through modern technology and safely recovered the doctor.

Four kidnappers were also arrested and the car was also seized.

FIRING: A 17-year-old boy died after a bullet hit him during celebratory aerial firing in a Gojra village on Friday night.

Police registered a case against four persons.
