If there was ever any doubt Israel plans to implement its legislation against UNRWA, that doubt should now be put to rest, according to Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo.
In a letter sent to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Israel’s ambassador to the UN told the secretary-general that the Israeli government expects UNRWA to “evacuate all premises in which it operates in Jerusalem no later than January 30, 2025.”
The Secretary-General’s Office confirms that they received that letter but said they would have no further comment on it at this time.
