KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah visited St. Patrick’s High School, his alma mater, to participate in the ‘cultural day’ celebrations.

The event showcased a vibrant display of diversity, unity and heritage, reflecting Pakistan’s multicultural identity ethos, said a press release issued from the CM House.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM expressed pride in returning to the school that laid the foundation of his values and personal growth.

He fondly reminisced about his student days and expressed gratitude for the lifelong values St. Patrick’s High School instilled in him.

He underscored the significance of cultural day as a celebration of harmony, mutual respect and understanding among Pakistan’s diverse communities.

“Each culture showcased here adds a distinctive thread to the rich tapestry of our collective identity,” he said, adding: “Just like a symphony, where different notes blend to create a masterpiece, Pakistan is a harmonious composition of unique identities coming together as one.”

The CM commended the students for their enthusiastic performances and encouraged them to carry forward the spirit of cultural pride and unity.

He also acknowledged the tireless efforts of the faculty and staff in shaping young minds and fostering values of inclusion and respect.

Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah, Archbishop Benny Travas, chairperson of the Catholic Board of Education and Rev Mario Rodrigues, Principal of St. Patrick’s High School, attended the event along with deputy principals, board members, and distinguished guests.
