Punjab Paralympic Games results

LAHORE, Oct 16: Competitions in various disciplines were held in the Punjab Paralympic Games which started at the Nishter Park Tuesday.

The games will conclude Wednesday with the prize distribution ceremony at the Alhamra Arts Centre.

Following are the results:

Athletics. Wheelchair senior race: Mohammad Andaz (PSRD), Mohammad Ali Munwar (PSRD), Mohammad Azhar (Alkhwarmi).

Wheelchair junior race: Usman (Alkhawarmi), Falak Sher (PSRD), Hammad Altaf (PSRD).

200m juniors deaf race: Balal (Hamza Foundation), Muzamal (Boys School, Gulberg), Nadeem Khan (Boys School Gulberg).

200m girls: Bushra Nazir (Hamza Foundation), Alia Sarfraz (Hamza Foundation), Anum Rafiq (Hamza Foundation).

MR seniors: Salman (Jauhar Town), Mubashar Qureshi (ITDC Fountain House), Farooq (Special Education Jauhar Town).

Emotional distance race: Mohammad Ali Kamran (Fountain House), Syed Wasee (Mental Hospital, Lahore), Zafar Iqbal  (Mental Hospital, Lahore).

50m race for blind girls: Nausheen (Hajveri Centre), Aisha (Hajveri Centre), Maheen (Hajveri Centre).

50m juniors girls deaf race: 1. Nadia (Hamza Foundation), Noor (Hamza Foundation), Ambreena (Hamza Foundation).

50m seniors deaf girls: Saadia (Shadab School), Farzana Khurshid (Shadab School), Irum (Shadab School).

1000m race: Khalid Hameed (Shalimar School), Mohammad Abid (Boys School Gulberg), Mohammad Navid (Central Schoo for Deaf), Hamid (Hamza Foundation), Inayat (Boy School for Deaf). Powerlifting:

60 kgs: Zahid Nazir 80 kgs (Milestone school), Tauseef 70 kgs (PSRD), Nasir Siddiq 70 kgs (ALK).

60-70 kgs: Faisal Aziz 100 kgs (PSRD).

Above 70 kgs: Navid Ahmad Butt 135 kgs (PSRD), Imran Munawar 110 kgs (PSRD), Mian Azhar.

105 kgs (Milestone School). Badminton (final results).

Leg disabled. Rafique Chughtai (PSRD) bt Shahid Husain (FDA) 21-18.

Hand disabled: Faisal Sarwar bt Fayyaz Husain (PSRD) 15-5. Table Tennis.

Haroon (PSRD) bt Arshad (PHC) 21-18.

Tug-of-War.

Institute for Handicap Children got first position while Government Shadab School for Mentally Disturb earned the second slot.
