LAHORE: Stage actor Nargis has forgiven her husband Majid Bashir, a police inspector, and wants to withdraw the charges of domestic violence against him, said a settlement agreement submitted on behalf of both parties in a sessions court.

During the hearing of Bashir’s pre-arrest bail petition, an additional district & sessions judge was informed about the mutual agreement reached between the complainant and the suspect.

A lawyer for Nargis stated that the settlement was arranged with the consent of both families’ elders, and on their advice, the actress forgave her husband. He said neither party will violate the terms of this agreement.

Following the reconciliation with his wife, Majid Bashir requested the court to allow him to withdraw his bail application.

The judge accepted the request and disposed of the petition on the basis of the withdrawal.

The actress had previously filed a case against her husband for domestic violence and life threats with the Defence C police station.
