Woman shot dead in Quaidabad

KARACHI: A married woman was gunned down in the Quaidabad area on Thursday, police said.

They identified the victim as Razia Sanaullah, 40, and said that she was killed in her home in Gulshan-i-Buner.

The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

Malir SP Saeed Rind told Dawn that the victim’s husband, Sanaullah, worked somewhere in the city in night shift.

He said that investigators suspected involvement of her close relatives in the murder.

He said during the initial probe, the police have got some clues, but further investigations were underway.

Meanwhile, a young man was shot at and wounded by unknown assailants in Bakhtawar Goth, Landhi, on Thursday evening.
