HYDERABAD, April 16: Leaders of the Hyderabad chapter of Jamat Ahl-e-Sunnat Pakistan has said that the Nishtar Park carnage was an open act of terrorism and a pre-planned conspiracy which speaks volumes for the inefficiency of the Sindh government. They were speaking at a condolence meeting in Noor Masjid, Resham Bazar, here on Saturday night.

Qari Abdul Rasheed Awan, Qari Abdul Aziz Naqshbandi, Mohammad Hussain Qureshi, Qari Niaz Ahmed Naqshbandi and others said that contradictory statements by Sindh government functionaries had fully exposed their inefficiency.

They said that if the events were looked into their true perspectives and keeping in view the killings of religious leaders in Karachi on previous occasions, it was not difficult to unearth real culprits.

They said that people were responsible for the Nishtar Park carnage were the same who earlier killed Hakeem Said, senator Mohsin Siddiqui, Azeem Tariq, Major Amir and a large number of police personnel involved in Karachi operation in 1992.

They further alleged that a veil had also been placed on the Faizan-e-Madina tragedy. They said that despite repeated requests of Sunni Tahrik leaders, they had not been provided guards and their workers were eliminated systematically.

They said that the Nishtar Park carnage was being painted as a suicide attack to provide protection to the hidden hands. They said that the jamming of mobile phone service and absence of police from the scene of carnage provided enough clue about people behind the blast.

They demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
