KARACHI, April 16: The impediments hindering the shifting of Issa Nagri graveyard for construction of Lyari Expressway was discussed at a meeting, presided over by Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town Nazim Muhammad Wasay Jalil, on Sunday.

Under the plan, 1100 graves would be relocated at an alternate land.

The town nazim directed the officials concerned to take steps as per law for shifting of graveyard for which the city government was providing alternate land. He also asked for publication of press advertisements informing the general public about the plan aimed at clearing the land for Lyari Expressway.

Wasay Jalil was informed that four ramps would be built in between Yaseenabad and Moti Mahal. The meeting decided to take up this matter with high-ups while the nazim of UC-3 was asked to take immediate action for removal of encroachments in PIB colony.

It was decided that the meeting would be held every Saturday to discuss the progress of the work and implementation of decisions with regard to Lyari Expressway.
