HYDERABAD, April 16: Activists of Sindhi Shagird Tehrik (SST) here on Sunday staged a protest demonstration outside the press club against demolition of Sindhi villages in Karachi and Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, SST president Javed Rajpar said that the inherent rights of the Sindhi people had been usurped by the rulers and they were being converted into a minority in their own homeland under a planned conspiracy.

They alleged that Khokhropar route had been reopened on the demand of one group to rehabilitate outsiders in the Sindhi villages.

He warned that anti-Sindh conspiracies will not be tolerated.

Hunger strike: The Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) staged a demonstration and hunger strike outside the Hyderabad Press Club on Friday to protest against the arrest and disappearance of party’s central general secretary, Dr Safdar Sarki and other nationalist leaders.

JSQM leaders, Murtaza Mughal, Dhani Bux Abro and Noor Hassan Bachu alleged under a planned conspiracy the nationalist leaders were being held in illegal detention, and tortured.
