Eight injured in road accidents

NAROWAL: Eight people, including women, were seriously injured in two road accidents in Sheikhupura on Thursday.

In the first incident, a speedy motorcycle hit the people standing along the road near Qila Sattar Shah. 25-year-old Afzal, 35-year-old Ismat Bibi, 23-year-old Ikram and 29-year-old Sania Bibi were seriously injured in the accident.

The second accident took place near the Chaudhry Mill stop where a motorcycle-rickshaw went out of control and overturned. Junaid, 23, Arsalan, 20, Waqar Ali, 21, and Ali Kaif, 27, were seriously injured in the accident.

Rescue 1122 teams provided first aid to the injured and shifted them to hospital.
