MARDAN: An anti-terrorism court here on Tuesday acquitted 254 Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf activists in the May 9, 2023 violence case.

The city police station had booked 323 PTI activists over their alleged violent protest held on May 9, 2023 following the arrest of the party’s founding chairman Imran Khan.

Senior provincial minister Mohammad Atif Khan and Tariq Mehmood Aryani were also among those who were acquitted.

However, the ATC ordered framing of charges against 69 other PTI workers in the May 9 case.
