St. John's (Antigua), April 13: President of Guyana Cricket Board, Chetram Singh said in his opinion Shivnarine Chanderpaul made right decision to relinquish captaincy of West Indies senior cricket team.
“In my opinion, it has affected his batting and at end of day if he can't maintain his place in the side he won't be needed,” he added.
Chanderpaul has played 94 Tests for West Indies. He has scored 6230 runs from 160 innings at an average of 44.82 and a highest score of 203 not out made in his debut test as captain.
