GUJAR KHAN: A man committed suicide in Jhelum while a teenage boy was allegedly killed at his home in a village in Gujar Khan on Sunday.

In the first incident, an on-duty security guard shot himself dead with a pistol in the limits of Jhelum city police station.

According to SHO Qamar Sultan, Amjad Sabir, 50, a resident of Abbasspura area of Jhelum, was performing security duty outside a plaza at Civil Lines Road when he committed suicide while sitting on a chair. Mr Qamar said the deceased was suffering from a financial crisis.

In the second incident, a 19-year-old boy was allegedly strangled to death in Kakh Badhal village of Gujar Khan.
