KARACHI, April 13: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Ejazul Haq said on Thursday that some evidence has been found into Tuesday’s tragic bomb blast at Nishter Park.

Talking to newsmen at Governor’s House, the minister pointed out that three bodies are still unidentified and no one has claimed them so far.

He said pieces of these unidentified and unclaimed bodies would be put together to determine their identity.

Replying to a question, he said he had a meeting with the Council of the Sunni Tehrik on Thursday morning and they expressed their viewpoint and apprehensions in a frank manner.

The minister said he cannot say that it was a targeted killing because in a suicide attack, it cannot be ascertained as to who would be the target.

He stated that what the Sunni Tehrik Council talked with them was regarding apprehensions pertaining to the past and problems faced by the party’s cadre.

The minister said they asked them that burial of the martyrs should be performed with their status and should be in a peaceful manner.

Later, they would sit and talk and if need felt a code of conduct can be devised mutually and they would address all apprehensions.

Ejazul Haq, while referring to his meeting with the Council members of Sunni Tehrik, said although they are in a state of shock, however, they gave no impression that they are seeking retaliation or want to disrupt peace. Instead they exhibited a sense of responsibility at an hour when they are passing through a difficult period.

Replying to a question, he said Army would remain on standby and would remain present at the specified spots.—APP
