JAIPUR: “I have no problem, I’m all right,” Salman Khan told the jail authorities when they visited his cell on Tuesday morning after the filmstar spent a night in prison.

On Tuesday, Salman’s fans gathered outside the jail building and shouted slogans like “Salman, sangharsh karo, hum tumhare saath hain (Salman, fight back, we are with you).” His brother Sohail Khan, his sister, and lawyer Dipesh Mehta met Salman in jail on Tuesday for 25 minutes.

According to sources, Sohail and Mehta pacified Salman and assured him they would arrange his bail petition.

Salman slept on a mat on the ground and was provided “Odomos”, a mosquito repellent. He has been lodged with a murder convict.—By arrangement with The Asian Age
