German Chancellor Olaf Scholz congratulated Donald Trump on winning the US presidential election, saying the two countries would continue to work together to benefit their citizens, Reuters reports.
“Germany and the US have for a long time successfully worked together to promote prosperity and freedom on both sides of the Atlantic. We will continue to do so for the benefit of our citizens,” Scholz said on social media outlet X.
