Polo: Asif slams six goals

LAHORE, April 8: Six goals by Asif Tiwana helped Candyland beat Guard Filters/Garden Gas 10-6 1/2 in the Concern for Children exhibition polo match on Saturday. Asif had scored all his goals by the end of the second chukker to give the winners 6-1 1/2 lead. The losers had 1 1/2 goal handicap.

The losers reduced the lead to 7-4 1/2 by adding three goals in the third chukker.

Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana (2) and Taimur Ali Malik (1) were the scorers.

Ahmed Ali Tiwana chipped in with a goal for the winners.

In the fourth chukker, the winners added three more while the losers scored two to complete the scoring.

Azam Hayat Noon (2) and Tanvir Tariq (1) scored for the winners. Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana and Taimur Ali Malik added one goal each for the losers.
