Bench-bar liaison stressed

HARIPUR, April 8: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Tariq Pervez has said that liaison between the bar and bench is vital for expeditious disposal of cases. Speaking to lawyers of the District Bar, Haripur here on Saturday, he said that lawyers and judges should ensure working relationship to achieve the goal of delivering speedy justice and providing relief to the public.

The chief justice said judicial officers were being posted near their home stations and emphasised that they should work more efficiently and dedicatedly to dispose of cases expeditiously. Delay in disposal of cases was not acceptable, he added.

He announced two air-conditioners for the bar and assured that additional court rooms and judicial complex would be built in Haripur.

Bar president Maqbool Hussain and Secretary Khurshid Azar also apoke.
