QUETTA: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial has assured the business leaders of Quetta that effective measures were being taken to resolve issues relating to tax payments and trade with neighbouring countries.

In a meeting with a delegation of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said traders should not worry as there was no restriction on legal trade with Afghanistan and Iran.

The delegation, led by QCCI president Muhammad Ayub Mariani, discussed issues relating to tax payments with the FBR chairman, who assured them that the problems would be resolved.

Mr Langrial assured the delegation that no hurdle in legal inland trade or with neighbouring countries would be allowed.

All challenges would be addressed within the framework of existing laws, he assured the delegation.
