KARACHI, April 6: Hundreds of telephone connections have been lying out of order for the past one week after a cable fault in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, and the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited failed to repair the fault despite several complaints lodged by subscribers.

The subscribers in the KDA Overseas Bungalows, in Block-16/A of Gulistan-i-Jauhar, said that they made complaints with the DE Gulistan-i-Jauhar exchange, but to no avail.

A subscriber, having telephone No 4621743, said he lodged several complaints and the authorities told him that a cable fault had developed which would be repaired soon. However, more than almost a week had lapsed, connection has not been restored.

Similarly, subscribers in Landhi-Korangi complained that their phones have gone out of order and the phone utility is yet to repair the fault.
