LAKKI MARWAT: A blast in the Tajori Bazaar of Lakki Marwat district created panic among people on Monday.

Witnesses and police said people ran for safety after the explosion, which occurred in the busy bazaar in the morning.

A police official said that an explosive device planted by unknown miscreants went off with a bang. He said that the blast damaged a small bridge, but it did not cause any human loss.

“The nearby shops and traders and buyers in them remained unhurt though the explosion scared them,” he maintained.

The official said that there were no immediate reports about any damage to nearby shops and business outlets.

He said that police along with bomb disposal experts reached the venue and collected evidence. He said that further investigation was underway.
