KARACHI, March 30: The greatest film of all times, Mughal-i-Azam will be screened in Pakistan after 46 years of its production, on June 2. This was announced by the managing director of Mandviwala Entertainment, Nadeem Mandviwala, at a press conference on Thursday.

This is for the first time in more than 40 years that an Indian film has been allowed to be shown in Pakistani cinema houses.

Speaking on the occasion, Films Censor Board chairman Ziauddin said that as announced by Akbar Asif, son of K. Asif, the income from the screening of this film would be spent on victims of the Oct 8 earthquake that jolted the northern parts of Pakistan.

Nadeem Mandviwalla said the release of Mughal-i-Azam would help save the dwindling cinema industry of the country.—APP
