HYDERABAD, March 29: Additional DPO Pervez Ahmad Chandio here on Wednesday denied violating civil court’s status quo order in a transport-related controversy.

The police officer filed his statement in the court in a miscellaneous contempt of court application, filed by defendant Raja Sikandar Hayat in the court of the third senior civil judge which was seized of a first class civil suit, filed by plaintiff Geo Pakistan non-air conditioned coach service through its managing partner, Sagheer Ahmad.

The police officer denied the charges levelled against him by applicant Hayat that he had issued a threat to him of implicating him in false cases. He said he was not supporting or helping the plaintiff.

The judge adjourned the matter till March 31.
