PS record sales

KARACHI, March 30: Pakistan Steel sales in the month of March is expected to be over Rs3.3 billion and sales tax payment around Rs500m, which is a record, says a press release.

The record of PS highest sales in one month in last 30 years was Rs3259 million set by the management in April 2005.

The record sales have raised the comfort level of the potential bidders who are expected to bid for PS on March 31, in Islamabad.

The two consortia, which have deposited $30 million each as earnest money, include ATG (Saudi Arabia), MMK (Russia), Arif Habib Group (Pakistan) as one consortium and Donbass (Ukraine), Al-Noor (Kuwait), Al-Jumaih Group (Saudi Arabia) as second consortium.
