KHAIRPUR, March 29: Three persons, including the nazim of Union Council of Kot Mir Mohammad, were injured in an attack by armed men on Wednesday. The nazim, Mumtaz Ali Narejo, councillor Bagh Ali Narejo and Irshad Narejo were on their way to Old Bindo on a motorcycle from Kot Mir Mohammad town on Wednesday evening.

The armed men tried to stop them near a roundabout with intention of robbery.

When they did not stop, the armed men opened fire on them.

The injured were admitted to the Rural Health Centre, Pir-jo-Goth. No FIR was registered till filing of the report.

DANGEROUS: On the directive of district nazim Khairpur, Syed Niaz Hussain Shah, an inquiry team after visiting the government girls middle school, Rahuja Machhi declared the building dangerous and sealed it here on Wednesday. However, 116 students of the girls middle school will continue their studies in the building of girls primary school Rahuja in the evening shift. Middle school Rahuja, where two additional classes of ninth and tenth are also running, is affiliated with the government high school Pir Jo Goth. Two days ago parts of the roof of the school building had collapsed and the parents of the students staged a protest. The district nazim ordered an inquiry.

SINDH’s RIGHTS: The General Secretary of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Sindh, Senator Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro, has said that economic, rights of Sindh regarding economic and employment are being snatched. He was speaking at the tenth annual Dastar-e-Fazeelat (Madressah degree distribution) convocation near Ripri taluka, Gambat on Tuesday evening. He also alleged that the people of Punjab were getting jobs on the basis of Sindh rural quota by preparing fake domiciles and degrees.
