LAHORE: Haider Hussain has claimed he is the secretary of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and has disregarded all actions taken by Rana Mujahid — who had earlier claimed himself to be holding the position — as illegal and unconstitutional.

Haider, in a press statement on Friday, said that the congress meeting of the PHF held in Islamabad earlier in the day and convened by Mujahid was unconstitutional as against a court’s decision that had deemed the former as the secretary.

Haider said he never resigned as the PHF secretary to former president retired Brig. Khalid Sajjad Khokhar and that he got a stay order from a court of law to hold the role.

Haider alleged that many officials currently working in the PHF had been involved in corruption cases and were up against each other in the past had joined hands to save their image.

But he said Inter-provincial Coordination (IPC) minister Rana Sanaullah should take notice against Mujahid and co. as the FIA had been investigating them in more than 100 corruption cases.

Haider said the “corrupt” PHF officials also misguided advisor to the prime minister Rana Mashood over their corruption, claiming he was helping them secure millions of rupees.
