MIRAMSHAH, March 28: Security forces arrested two tribesmen and recovered from their possession a rocket launcher, four shells and two Kalashnikovs here on Tuesday. Sources said that a joint patrol of army, Frontier Constabulary and militia signalled a car with tinted glasses to stop in the Mirali Bazaar for checking. The driver, however, speeded up.

The sources said that there were five tribesmen in the car, but three of them escaped. Security forces arrested the other two and found one rocket launcher, four rocket shells, two Kalashnikovs and six magazines in the car.

The sources said that the two men were shifted to the prison for interrogation.

Meanwhile, militants blew up a checkpoint of Khasadar force near Mirali on Monday evening.

A rocket was fired at the militia fort in the North Waziristan Agency headquarters on Monday night.

REFUGEES: Authorities sealed several shops of refugees in the Miramshah bazaar on Tuesday as part of an ongoing crackdown against Afghan refugees in the restive tribal agency.

Sources said that a large number of Afghans were detained when they failed to comply with the deadline to leave the agency.
